Gucci Mane was indicted on one count of aggravated assault this week, after turning himself into authorities last week following a warrant being issued for the Atlanta rapper. A fan accused Gucci of assaulting him with a bottle.

Gucci Mane’s troubles with the law have gotten more attention in recent years than his music. Despite the fact that he’s a popular artist and just made his major motion picture debut in the action-thriller Spring Breakers, the man born Radric Davis can’t seem to stay out of trouble. And, more often than not, that trouble has been violent.
Two years ago, a Georgia Superior Court judge ordered Gucci Mane to check into a psychiatric hospital. The rapper’s lawyers filed a Special Plea of Mental Incompetency at the time, and the trip to the psychiatric hospital was seen by many as a bit of legal wrangling.
But Gucci’s history suggests that there’s a strong possibility that there is something very wrong with him psychologically or emotionally.
