Jenelle Evans arrested
Jenelle Evans, 21, was arrested in Brunswick, N.C., after police responding to a domestic dispute call discovered 12 bundles of heroin at the home she shares with her 27-year-old husband, Courtland Rogers.
In addition to the heroin, Evans was also found to be illegally in possession of prescription pain medication Percocet and illegal drug paraphernalia. She’s now charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and distribute.
Additionally Evans was charged with assault for striking her husband with a piece of furniture. Her husband was also charged with assault for “hitting her [Evans] on the neck and striking her with a closed fist on her head.”
Evans is one of the stars of MTV’s “Teen Mom” and has been profiled on the program feuding with her mother, who has custody of her 3-year-old son, Jace. Rogers is also shown on the reality show and has only been married to Evans for five months.
Just before being arrested, Evans tweeted to a fan that she was “healthy and sober.” –danielle canada
