When did you realize that you wanted to do music Porscha?
I’ve always known! When we were five, we started doing little shows with our cousin Danielle for our family members. I wrote my first song when I was twelve. My aunt heard the song and loved it. Soon after she took us to the studio and it evolved from that. Our sound and our style are forever evolving which inspired our name Evolution of Lyfe.
JaSean who are some of your biggest influences?
I’m influenced by T.I. in my rap and Chris Brown influences me in my music. I recently started focusing on doing beats. My producer, Mr. Mike was in the studio with me working on the keyboard and I started asking him questions about the production side of the music industry. Since then, he has been teaching me the art of being a producer and creating my own beats.
Porscha, what sets you apart from other young performers?
We are twins and that makes us different. We were abused as children before coming to live with our aunt who has become our manager. Once she saw how music was helping us to heal and deal with everything that was going on. She encouraged and supported us in doing more shows.
How would you describe your music JaSean?
Our style of music is a mixture of Hip-Hop and Pop. It’s a new and unique sound that hasn’t been heard. It’s a mixture of what Porscha likes and what I like so you don’t get a one-sided look at what a guy would say or what a girl would say. It’s something that all kids our age would like.
