Kreayshawn has announced to her fans that she is expecting her first child. The Oakland native posted a photo of her baby bump on Instagram, and finally shared her big news with the public. The “Gucci Gucci” rapper confirmed her pregnancy by acknowledging that she’d had numerous fans ask her why she’d been recently angling her photos.
“Everyone’s been wondering why all my pics have been neck up,” she posted. “WELL here’s a neck down one! IM GONNA BE A MOM! (I’m pregnant)”
Kreay enthusiastically thanked all well wishers and shared her own feelings about her impending motherhood.
“Thankz again for all the luv today! V much appreciated! I feel so guuuud now,” she tweeted. “Motherhood is bout to be my new hood! LOL!!”
Someone claiming to be a friend of Kreayshawn’s mother also posted about the pregnancy on popular pregnancy network site, Babble.
“Okay. This is crazy news, at least for me! My friend’s daughter is a hip-hop star. That seems wacky enough by itself. But today her gorgeous, talented and very creative daughter Kreayshawn had an announcement. She is pregnant! That means that someone my age is going to be a grandma! Crazy! But her mom had Kreayshawn when she was a young teen, so the math makes sense. It’s just wacky for me to think about it (especially since my own daughter is just in first grade). But her mom did a great job and raised a fab girl, so I’m sure Kreayshawn will be a great mom too.”
After bursting onto the scene as a 2011 YouTube sensation, Kreay released her debut album There’s Something ’bout Kreay in the fall of 2012 to dismal reviews and poor sales. HitsDailyDouble claimed that she had the worst opening sales week ever for a major artist. Her former White Girl Mob cohort, V-Nasty, severed ties with her and has been blasting her in the media.
