When it comes to versatility, pumps take the cake!

No outfit is complete until it is paired up with the right shoes. Pumps can perfectly complement a “Freak’em dress.” And if you are looking for something demure and innocent to wear to your wedding or an office interview, pumps can rescue you there, as well.

Pumps can have heels up to four inches high, making them appropriate for the workplace as well as formal and social events. Platform shoes, peep toes, open toes and closed toes are all different forms of the pump.

Best for the Bride

Choose a pump that is no higher than two or three inches and goes well with your dress. Peep toes are elegant, sexy and can make you feel stunning.

Wear ‘Em to Work

Even the most conservative offices don’t have an issue with pumps. Closed- toe in a single, neutral color are dressy yet good for the office. The height for your work heels depends on how much activity you have at work. Remember, heels aren’t good for walking and standing in all day long. So keep your heels at one inch if you have a lot of walking to do. Pair the pumps with a tailored suit or skirt outfit.

Seasonal Pumps

While winter is for boots, closed pumps also work well enough. During the summer, opt for open-toe or strappy sandal pumps. These are great for the hot weather and are very flattering with skirts. You can also opt for mules or backless pumps in summertime.
