The biggest stars in music will hit the stage at the Nokia Theater for the 2013 BET Awards. Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Chris Tucker, Charlie Wilson and Tamar Braxton were on hand at the ICON Ultra Lounge in Los Angeles to announce the nominees for this year’s show which will also include a three day event.
Tamar, who is nominated for Best Female R&B, announced nominees for Best Collaboration and Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. Kendrick Lamar, who is nominated 8 times, announced the nominees for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and Best International Act.
Chris Tucker will serve as this year’s host and brought his comedic flare to the press conference. He joked about receiving his check on time from BET and did impressions of Charlie Wilson and Chris Brown.
BET’s Stephen Hill announced the theme for this year’s show is “Anything Can Happen.” The awards show will take place on June 30.
