Even though they were both members of the Black Law Students Association, Obama and George had opposing politics. Early in his career, the Howard University graduate worked for Sen. Bob Dole (as early as age 17) and President George H.W. Bush’s White House as a lawyer in the budget office. In between, he attended Harvard Law School, graduating in 1988 alongside a young Robinson.
He was appointed to his current position as IG by former President George W. Bush in 2002.
