There is a saying that behind every great fortune is a great crime. Although Instagram probably won’t face any lawsuits, it’s obvious that the app, owned by Facebook, is mimicking Vine by offering a new video feature for users.
The Instagram video feature is more advanced than Vine. Users can record up to 15 seconds and add 13 filters to the video. Vine, on the other hand, only offers six seconds worth of video and there are no filters.
Users often made jokes about other Vine users who looked completely different from their Instagram pics due to a lack of filters. For now, Instagram offers a superior product when it comes to creating the video. However, the experience could backfire if Instagram users grow tired of an abundance of videos that will likely flood their timeline.
But for now, users are predicting the demise of Vine.
