Back in 2000 Common was dumped by his girlfriend Erykah Badu. The Chicago rapper later detailed their split in his book “One Day It’ll All Make Sense.”
“I was in my hotel room on tour and … she [Erykah] called me and was like, ‘Hey, I don’t wanna be in this relationship no more. I’m liking somebody else,’” wrote Common. “That was my first love and my first heartbreak.”
