After failing to pay tax returns for several years, Ron Isley filed for bankruptcy in 1997. By 2001, he nearly lost his catalog of music due to his $5 million debt. He negotiated with the court to clear his debt. However, Ron was sentenced to 37 months in prison in 2006 for, again, failing to pay taxes.
