Raven-Symone not getting married
Despite coming out of the closet, a famed “Cosby Show” star says she has no plans to tie the knot —for now at least. As previously reported, Raven-Symoné announced via Twitter that she was a lesbian after she tweeted, “I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you.”
And while many assumed that wedding bells would soon be ringing for her and her longtime girlfriend, Symone released a statement to E! News to deny those claims.
“I am very happy that gay marriage is opening up around the country and is being accepted,” said Symone. “I was excited to hear today that more states legalized gay marriage. I, however am not currently getting married, but it is great to know I can now, should I wish to.”
A rep for the actress later added in a statement to the news source, “Raven is not getting married. She was just supporting the fact that she heard on NPR that more states legalized gay marriage today.”
Raven is currently dating Azmarie Livingston of “America’s Next Top Model” fame.
