Azealia Banks may have become a tabloid fixture over the past year-and-a-half due to her numerous Twitter beefs, but for the past few months the Harlem rapper has been relatively quiet. But she quietly ignited a small feud this week when she implied that pop superstar Lady Gaga ripped off Banks when Gaga emerged at the MTV Video Music Awards dressed in mermaid attire.
Gaga has been known to incorporate the mythological creatures into her wardrobe and photo shoots, and she wasted no time tweeting her opinion of Gaga’s mermaid-themed look at the VMAs.
