Last year, Tennessee representative John Ragan tried to revive a bill, the Classroom Protection Act, that would require school systems to inform parents if they thought their children were gay and then counsel such children to prevent “behavior injurious to the physical or mental health and well-being of the student or another person.” Fortunately, the bill failed, once again.
