“Scandal” fans believe Kerry Washington was snubbed by the Emmy Awards. Nominated for best lead actress in a drama series, Washington would have been the first black American woman to win an Emmy in that category.
However, it was Claire Danes, star of Showtimes’s “Homeland” who took the award. After the announcement, “Scandal” fans blasted the Emmy Awards for snubbing Washington.
