A billionaire is offering $65 million if someone will marry his daughter.

Well … okay. So what’s the catch?

You have to be able to take the daughter from her lesbian wife, transform her into a heterosexual and then marry her.

Shouldn’t be too hard. Right?

Hong Kong billionaire shipping magnate Cecil Chao, who says he’s slept with over 10,000 women in his day, says he would like the potential suitor to have the following qualities:

  • He doesn’t have to be rich;
  • He just needs to be kind-hearted;

That’s it.

Before you burn a hole in the sky trying to fly to Hong Kong, perhaps you should ask yourself this: why is it so important to offer up a vast amount of this tycoon’s fortunes to try to get his daughter to ditch her wife?

Chao said he wants his daughter to have a relationship Chinese society will find acceptable. Same-sex unions are not recognized in Hong Kong, but Gigi Chao, 33, a businesswoman educated in England, “married” her longtime lover Sean Eav recently in Paris.

The ceremony didn’t please pops, who began spreading the word that his daughter needed a “good husband.”

Gigi Chao, who runs one of her father’s holding companies, is a trained helicopter pilot and architect, so she has a lot going for her. She’s also good-looking, so she’s probably had more than a few men ask her out without dad’s help.

In an interview with the BBC she was careful not to embarrass her father.

“It’s an expression of fatherly love,” said Chao, who would not confirm she had been legally married. “It would be inappropriate to contradict my father” publicly, she said.

Smart woman.

Gigi Chao said her father’s quest is not a “waste of time” but she is very happy in her current relationship.

That is not stopping a herd of heterosexual men from trying to scale the castle to get at father Chao’s fortune. Gigi Chao has received more than 1,500 Facebook friend requests and about 200 emailed marriage proposals.

Her dad has received 100.

“Gigi is a very good woman with both talents and looks. She is devoted to her parents, is generous and does volunteer work,” he said.

Good luck getting your daughter to forgo her happy homosexual union.
