Toni-Townes Whitley, first lady Michelle Obama’s Princeton classmate, is the senior vice president at CGI Federal, the company that won the no-bid contract for the problem-filled website, healthcare.gov. The Bush administration approved CGI, along with 15 other companies, qualified to provide technical services to the federal government in 2007. CGI can be assigned government contracts worth up to $4 billion until 2017 without having to bid publicly for them.
Whitley joined the firm in May 2010.
Whitley and Obama are members of the Association of Black Princeton Alumni.
