A prominent celebrity said the other day that the new drug of choice in America is fame. And, you know what? He was right. People seem to crave fame like a crack addict craves the pipe, and seemingly will do anything to procure fame, even if they have to go to jail for it.
Case in point: The media reports that a Florida man, Depree Johnson, has been arrested for masterminding a series of “dinnertime crimes” — a slew of burglaries inside Boynton Beach, Fla., senior citizen neighborhood.
How did the criminal get caught? He posted a series of very incriminating evidence of the crimes on Instagram.
Just how stupid can you be?
Johnson posted the photos of the burglaries at duce22ceritfied showing himself and others posing with guns, cash, drugs and other “fruits” of the crime. The page has since been taken down.
According to Gawker, the investigation into the break-ins at local senior communities led authorities to Johnson’s Lake Worth home. Inside law enforcement found “numerous pieces of jewelry, including watches, charms, necklaces and loose diamonds, as well as two stolen firearms.” The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office recovered items totaling up to $250,000.
Johnson was throw in jail on 142 charges, including possession of weapons and ammunition by a convicted felon.
