A transgender man says he was raped by a deputy while in prison at the Gwinnett County Jail in Lawrenceville, Ga. According to a report by WSBTV, the victim said that he was raped by Deputy Duone Clark.

The sexual assaults apparently occurred when the victim was imprisoned in January of 2012. The victim said he refused Clark’s sexual advances when he was first confronted; however, Clark continued to harass and intimidate the victim and forced him to have sex repeatedly.

The victim was recently released from prison and hired an attorney who helped him file a lawsuit against the Gwinnett County jail and Sheriff Butch Conway because they failed to protect him from Clark.

Clark has been fired from his job and was arrested for sexual assault of an inmate and violation of oath by a public defender.
