Rapper Eve has much to celebrate this year. Aside from a surprise engagement to longtime beau and British millionaire Maximillion Cooper, the actress/artist has recently landed a starring role on a new ABC sitcom.

ABC has closed a deal for a multi-camera comedy project to star actress-rapper Eve, from Aaron Kaplan’s Kapital Entertainment and ABC Studios. The project, which is eyed for the 2014-15 development season, is looking for a writer… Kaplan approached Eve (full name Eve Jeffers) with the idea for a multi-camera interracial romantic comedy. The two pitched it to ABC, which bought the project with penalty.
In addition to her new TV role, the former Ruff Ryder will be staring in a new feature film, Animal alongside funny girl Keke Palmer. The Animal, directed by Drew Barrymore, dives deep into the darkness when a group of friends, stranded in an isolated cabin find themselves hunted by a predator.
