During a recent visit to “The Howard Stern Show,” Queen Latifah let the cat of the bag and confirmed that the gentlemen of OutKast are indeed working on a new album.
It started with Stern asking the Queen what happened to OutKast? Latifah then stated, “They’re chilling. They’re doing movies. They’re about to work on a new album.”
Not many know that Latifah’s Flavor Unit management company counted OutKast as a client for a number of years, so she very well may have some inside information on the duo. Although Latifah made it clear during the interview that she no longer manages them, she seemed pretty confident in what she knew.
Although the duo has yet to release an official statement announcing a new album, fans can take the recent announcement of festival tour dates to commemorate the group’s 20th anniversary as a good sign.
OutKast’s last official album was the soundtrack to the 2006 film, Idlewild.
