A category to watch, Best Rap Album will bring Kendrick Lamar, Jay Z, Drake, Kanye West and Macklemore head to head. Macklemore, the projected winner, was nearly removed from the category by members of the Recording Academy who felt that the rapper’s music was “too pop.”
It will be interesting to see the uproar if and when he wins.
