This has been a major week in sports since college football player Conner Mertens and his boyfriend, college baseball player Chandler Whitney, came out of the closet. But while those two willingly walked out of the closet, reports claim that San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is allegedly being pulled out of the closet as rumors claim that he’s dating a gay DJ.
According to Queerty, Kaepernick was spotted getting “cozy” and “comfortable” with openly gay circuit DJ Luis Perez at the Sports Illustrated Super Bowl party this past weekend.
The rumor was sparked after Perez posted photos of the two together at the party on his Facebook page. But just hours after they were posted, Perez took them down, with many believing that he pulled the photos because of the speculation that Kaepernick is gay.
Neither Kaepernick nor Perez have commented on the rumor, but it’s certainly not the first time that a celeb has been rumored to be gay. Check out some other celebs who’ve been dogged by gay rumors below. –nicholas robinson
