Obviously observing embattled pop star Justin Bieber’s downward spiral being played out on the international stage, a caring first lady Michelle Obama’s son.
Obama said that if she were Bieber’s mother, “she would be close to him” at this tumultuous time in his life.
“I don’t know if it would be advice as much as action,” she told Univision. “I would be very present in his life right now. And I would be probably with him a good chunk of the time, just there to talk, to figure out what’s going on in his head, to figure out who’s in his life and who’s not, you know.”
Obama added that she feels her children seek parental advice, emphasizing that Bieber is “still a kid, he’s still growing up.”
Bieber’s actual mom, Pattie Mallette has come under scrutiny, in light of Bieber’s succession of crimes and highly questionable behavior, including assault, drag racing and drug scandals. “If Justin’s struggling, don’t kick him when he’s down or condemn him — pray for him,”
The question of how the first lady would care for Bieber arises from a petition of the White House that demands that the 19-year-old singer be deported back to Canada. Thus far, the petition has received 252,782 signatures, more than twice the number of its original goal of more than 100,000.
It is highly unlikely, however, that President Obama or the Justice Department would seek Bieber’s deportation, unless he was to commit a crime of moral turpitude, such as murder, sexual assault or pedophilia.
