Chris Brown D.C. assault trial update

Chris Brown in court in 2009

Chris Brown may have to be shackled and dragged to D.C. to face those nasty assault charges from earlier this year. According to TMZ,

“The judge in the D.C. assault case has signed an order commanding the honchos at L.A. County Jail to release Chris to the U.S. Marshal.

The Cali judge, who also ruled in the Rihanna vs. Brown case has already “ordered Chris to stay in the slammer until his April 17 D.C. assault trial, but the judge never determined how he would get there.”

While the D.C. judge issued the order on Wednesday, reports state that it’s not a done deal. In order to appear in court next month, the current judge presiding must sign off to give the U.S. Marshal permission to transport Brown across the country.
