Hip-hop star Eminem is prepping the video for his track “Headlights.” The Detroit rhymer has announced that the upcoming music video for “Headlights” is “coming soon.” Posting on Instagram, Eminem also revealed that he was spending time with iconic filmmaker Spike Lee.

Sharing an image of himself and Spike, Em didn’t explain exactly what he and Spike are working on, but he indicated that Lee is involved with the new music video.

“Spike came out to The D for the ‘Headlights’ video,” Em posted in a caption along with the image.

Spike Lee isn’t just one of the more notable movie directors of the past 25 years, he’s also directed several significant music videos, from Naughty By Nature’s “Hip Hop Hooray” to Anita Baker’s “No One In the World.” Last year, Lee directed the music video for Big K.R.I.T.’s “Praying Man.”

As for the song “Headlights,” it serves as an apology to Eminem’s long-suffering mother Deborah Mathers. Em’s mom was the subject of the scathing 2003 track “Cleaning Out My Closet,” in which he blames her for a myriad of issues. So the music video would present an opportunity for the dramatic storytelling for which Eminem’s videos have become known. “Headlights” is included on Em’s 2013 album The Marshall Mathers LP 2.
