Daymond John, most recognizable as a member of “Shark Tank,” a show that puts business owners in front of potential investors, highlighted the importance of knowing the valuation for your business, managing your growth and ensuring you can meet demands.” He also said, “You can’t be everything to everybody. Be amazing to your niche and it spreads from there.”

John concluded by saying, “The power of broke will get you there [to your goal] because you start to think creatively.” When FUBU needed money, they sought out smart money, not just financial capital.  “We need strategic partnerships. OPM is not other people’s money.  You can learn off of other people’s manufacturing, mind power, marketing, and you can always make a profit off of other people’s mistakes. Go find mentors.”
