Dr. Kevin D. Rome, Sr. is President of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, Missouri. Dr. Rome took over as the 19th president of Lincoln University on June 1, 2013. He received his BA in English from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia; his Master of Education in College Student Personnel with an emphasis in counseling from the University of Georgia; and, finally, a Ph.D. in higher education administration from the University of Texas.
Lincoln University was founded in 1866 by the men of the 62nd and 65th United States Colored Infantries and their white officers, for the special benefit of freed African Americans.
