Aaron Hernandez charged with first-degree murder, again
Aaron Hernandez has been charged with first-degree murder for a second time, this time for his alleged involvement in the killings of two people. As previously reported the former New England Patriot is currently in jail for the murder of former friend, 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, and for five other felony gun-related charges.
Now according to authorities Hernandez has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in the July 2012 killings of two men. He also was charged with three counts of armed assault with attempt to murder.
Hernandez is accused of being the trigger-man in a drive-by shooting in which Daniel Abreu and Safiro Furtado were killed while they were in a car near a Boston nightclub. In February the victim’s families filed wrongful death lawsuits against Hernandez seeking $6 million respectively.
He is expected to be arraigned in the killings next week.
