Violence continues to plague the city of Chicago. On Saturday afternoon, OTF Nunu, a promising 21-year-old rapper, was murdered in another senseless act of gun violence.
According to the Chicago Tribune, OTF Nunu was sitting in his SUV at the Chathman Village Square Mall when someone walked up and shot into his car. OTF Nunu attempted to drive away, but his car crashed into the window of a store.
He was found dead in his car when police arrived on the scene. OTF Nunu was the first cousin of Def Jam rapper Lil Durk. He built a buzz around Chicago by working with Lil Durk and producers Young Chop and A Zae. OTF Nunu was preparing to release a mixtape, Nuski Got Da Strap, later this summer.
A suspect in the shooting has yet to be identified.
