Was it a snub? Were they busy? Were they just laying low after the Met Gala fiasco?
There’s been plenty of speculation as to why Jay and Bey were not present at the May 24 wedding of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. At one point, word was that Bey Z would even be part of the wedding party with Jay Z serving as Kanye’s best man, but alas, those claims proved to be unfounded.
During a recent interview on an Australian radio station, Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, weighed in on the matter. She says she was under the assumption that they were unable to attend due to work.
“There was so much commotion and excitement, I never gave it a second thought. I know they sent really nice wishes to Kanye and Kim. I just assumed they were working.”
Though we know Bey and Kim have had a rocky road to something resembling a cordial acquaintance, we thought Hov and Yeezy were tighter than that. Turns out thus far, that Bey has been the only one between the two to publicly congratulate KimYe on their new union, doing so via Instagram.
