The rumor mill is spinning overtime with speculation that there is a riff happening with Jay Z and Kanye West.
There are three very key things that lead observers to believe that things aren’t currently kosher between Hov and Yeezy. At this point, it’s lots of speculation, but when you look at the following “issues” supposedly happening between the two, the possibility of it all isn’t far fetched.
First of all, almost everyone believes that Kanye still feels a way about Jay and Bey not attending his recent wedding to Kim Kardashian. It’s common knowledge that Kanye feels very deeply, so for his “big brother” to have missed such an important day in his life, well…it’s very plausible that there could be tension there.
Secondly, Kanye recently performed at the X Music festival in Austin. During his set Kanye performed three different songs that name drops Jay, but all three times Yeezy failed to say his name. Take his performance of “Blood On The Leaves” from the Yeezus album. In the song, ‘Ye raps “I don’t give a damn if you used to talk to Jay Z. He ain’t with you, he with Beyonce, you need to stop actin’ lazy”. But during the Austin performance he raps “I don’t give a damn if you used to talk to … . He ain’t with you, he with Beyonce, you need to stop actin crazy”.
And the final piece of the puzzle is that Jay is irritated with Kanye for trying to give him marriage advice after the Met Gala incident with Solange. According to a source close to the matter:
“Jay thought it was laughable that Kanye was trying to give him tips when he’s only been hitched two minutes. His jaw dropped to the ground when he got the call. Kanye said he thinks Jay needs to stay focused on his marriage, ignore the negativity surrounding them right now and told him to ‘take care of business’. Despite the fact Jay agreed with the sentiment, he thought it was ridiculous that Kanye was trying to act like he knew it all.”
Let’s just hope this is all a crazy rumor that is spinning out of control and that The Throne is indeed intact and will put these notions to bed soon.
