Regina King signs on for ABC’s “American Crime”

Ray star, Regina King, is having one spectacular year. The 43-year-old Ocsar nominee who has been featured in over 30 films throughout her career, has lined up three major small screen projects.

As you may recall, King appeared briefly in 2013, on CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory,” as the university’s director of human resources, Mrs. Davis. Due to the success of her three separate guest appearances, she has been asked to return to “BBT,” one of the most watched comedies in America to reprise her role. This is a huge look for King!

In addition, the “Southland” alum has signed on to appear in ABC’s “American Crime,” starring Timothy Hutton and Felicity Huffman, as they explore the personal lives of the players involved in a racially charged trial. King has been contracted to star in seven episodes as “the devoutly religious sister of Carter who comes to Modesto in order to help her brother navigate a judicial system that she believes is stacked against him.”

Following both projects, King will circle back to ABC to direct the 16th episode of ‘Scandal’s” fourth season, reports The Hollywood Reporter. With three new, major projects under her belt, King continues to make her mark as a force to be reckoned with.
