Rapper-actor Common has had some pretty high-profile relationships throughout the course of his career. In a recent interview with radio host Rickey Smiley, the Chicago native spoke about some of the women he has been linked to in the past, having nothing but good things to say about the women that have crossed his path.
There’s a certain actress that he says he doesn’t really have a relationship with anymore.
“I love Regina King as an actress and I think she’s a beautiful woman,” Common explained. “But I haven’t even talked to Regina King in a little while.”
He also briefly spoke about his ex, Erykah Badu. “She got that intangible thing that women have sometimes,” he said. “That’s why people be mesmerized by her.”
But there was one relationship he wish had played out a little differently: his relationship with tennis superstar Serena Williams.
“Point blank, she’s just a good person,” Common said. “When we broke up it was one of those things where we just weren’t ready at that time. I probably would be at a new place. She would be at a new place. And it might work out. The only love there is tennis … I do got love for Serena. I ain’t gon’ lie. I got love for her. That’s my buddy.”
