Just when it seemed like a reunion between Nicole Murphy and Michael Strahan was possible, the former couple’s chances of reconciling have now been brought into question after Murphy was recently spotted out with a mystery man in California.
According to TMZ, Murphy was spotted with a younger man at Moonshadows in Malibu for lunch Saturday.
No information is known about who the man is or whether the lunch was platonic or romantic, but fans are certainly making major noise about it, especially since Murphy was also spotted on what many assume was a romantic island rendezvous with former NBA star Jim Jackson last month.
The lunch with the mystery man also comes just days after Murphy was seen going on a surprise lunch with Strahan in Beverly Hills.
A source for Hollywood Life.com claims that the Murphy-Strahan lunch was quite the tense affair and that the couple discussed several of their issues during the meeting.
“It was intense. They hadn’t seen one another or had a face-to-face since it was leaked that they were calling it off,” a source said.
“Mike was not happy. Nicole told me he accused her of talking to the media behind his back and that that was not cool. He was pissed. Of course, she told him she didn’t, but I don’t think he really believes her,” the source added.
“I don’t know if she’s forgiven him for cheating. It’s not like he admitted it to her. Nicole‘s been cheated on before by Eddie Murphy and it broke her to pieces. She can put up with just about anything — even a long distance relationship with Michael — and she has, but she’s not going to be played. And the fact Mike won’t even admit that he did something wrong after she basically caught him red-handed bothers her,” the source said.
But despite the tense moments, the source claims that Murphy and Strahan ended the lunch on a good note.
“After he pretty much checked her from the ground up, he immediately calmed down. He was cool, she said, and then they changed the subject and talked about their children and basically caught up on life and family issues,” said the source. “Anything is possible, but the way Nicole‘s putting it, they’re just figuring things out for now. They’re going to be friends now and that’s how things are.”
Well, who knows how this thing will end with Murphy and Strahan, but the world is certainly interested in seeing who the two end up with. –nicholas robinson
