For Nikko London, having his secret marriage exposed on national TV seemed like enough of a hassle all its own. But unfortunately for the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star, being exposed and getting dumped by Mimi Faust was only the tip of the iceberg because reports claim that he and his wife, Margo Simms, are in a massive amount of debt.
According to TheJasmineBrand.com, London and Simms were sued by a music company named Supafly Entertainment in 2008. Supafly claimed that London and Simms were working with them to build up the career of a band called Test Drive.
Supafly claims that they put up all of the money for the band to record and promote an album, but when the band got an offer from Universal Music, London and Simms began making secret moves to cut Supafly out of the deal.
However, the deal fell through and Supafly went on to sue the couple for posting the band’s music on Myspace and also having the band perform the music live at concerts.
Since London failed to legally respond to the suit, a defaulted judgment was entered in July 2008 for $581,358.42. However, both London and Simms have failed to pay that amount and now the judgment has grown to $1,181,358.42.
Well, London certainly made a lot of money off of his sex tape with Faust, but even with that sex tape payday, he’s looking at an amount that could leave him high and dry on cash. – nicholas robinson
