She’s smart, adorable and kind of mean.
As 6-year-old Diane Johnson, little Marsai Martin is quite the smart aleck scene stealer. Quick to offer bitingly condescending remarks, the young actress has great comedic timing and was really allowed to shine in the third episode, “The Nod.” While her twin brother on the show gets more of the slapstick chuckles, she goes for a sort of “anti-Rudy” nastiness that makes for some hilarious interactions with her elders.
