It’s a girl for Tamera Mowry-Housley, who announced over the New Year’s holiday, that she and her husband Adam Housley are expecting their second child.
Soon after, during a taping of FOX’s hit show “The Real,” the co-host made a last-minute decision to find out the gender of baby in front of her live audience!.
While throwing out some baby names for fun, Tamar Braxton suggested that they call Mowry-Housley’s husband, Adam (who already knew the gender) and have him announce the big news live on the air.
Not exactly a fan of the idea at first, Mowry-Housley responded, “I don’t think I’m ready yet … I’m getting nervous.” She said she wanted to be surprised.
It was after much convincing, that Braxton got Adam on a conference call…
“So Adam, we’re at the table, and we’re coming up with some baby names … first of all, congratulations,” said Braxton. “We just wanted to know, should we buy pink or green?”
Adam however, wasn’t falling for Braxton’s trickery.
“First of all, my wife is sitting there and I’ve been under the instruction not to tell her,” he said. “Babe, are you sure you wanna know? I love you guys, but I gotta deal with one woman when I go home and I wanna make sure that she’s cool.”
In the midst of Braxton and Housley’s conversation, something seemed to click inside Mowry’s head as she grabbed the phone and exclaimed, “I wanna know!”
Following a brief pause, Adam said … “I am scared out of my mind,” but then he revealed, “We are having a girl!”
Following the announcement, Mowry released a statement saying “I decided to let Adam tell me the gender of our baby today while taping and I am elated!”
Last weekend the couple shared their big news via Instagram.
“We are thrilled to announce we are #ClearblueConfirmed! Can’t wait to meet baby #2!” the “Sister, Sister” alumna wrote on Instagram. “Love Clearblue’s pregnancy test with Smart Countdown. It helped me get through the wait to get my result by counting down with me. #spon”
Congratulations to the happy parents!
