Nick Jonas confirms he’ll no longer be a part of Iggy Azalea’s The Great Escape tour, but reassures fans they’ll still have the opportunity to see him perform this spring. Nick Jonas himself confirmed that he will no longer be participating in the Australian rapper’s tour.
“Unfortunately I’m not able to join the rescheduled Great Escape Tour, but you will still get to see me this spring, details coming!” The Jonas Brothers alum tweeted.
But that doesn’t mean fans won’t have access to the “Jealous” crooner. On March 28, the hottie with a body is set to host as well as perform at the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards; as will Azalea, 5 Seconds of Summer and Jennifer Hudson.
Although rumors have caused many to believe that the “Fancy” rapper’s tour has been canceled due to poor ticket sales, Def Jam Recordings cleared up the speculation in a recent statement saying that it had only been rescheduled “due to tour production delays,” adding that “to accommodate for creative team availability and tour productions, it was determined that the tour will not be ready this spring.,” E! News reports.
“It’s important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development,” the statement continued.
Since vowing to avoid social media, Azalea’s management has been updating her pages and posted a tweet regarding the tour’s pushed-back date. “Iggz HQ: The tour getting pushed back only means that it’ll be way more amazing than it would’ve been in April. Good things take time,” the tweet read.
With all the controversy surrounding the femcee, we wouldn’t be surprised if she’s turned off a portion of her following. Poor tickets sales sounds more like it …
