Destiny’s Child alum LeToya Luckett continues to make waves on the small screen circuit. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the “Treme” actress, has landed a new role on NBC’s drama pilot “Love Is A Four Letter Word.”

Luckett will play the role of Tandi, a happily married woman and mother, who is experiencing difficulties fulfilling her dream of having a second child. Luckett assumed the role after former lead Meta Golding exited, and Cynthia McWilliams (Real Husbands of Hollywood, who had formerly been cast as Tandi) took over the starring role of Julie, an attorney formerly married to Nick (Rockmond Dunbar) and the mother of his two children.
The new series will explore the dynamics of three diverse couples, when they put modern marriage to the test, tackling issues such as race, sexuality and gender roles. Rounding out the cast of the Diana Son penned and produced script are Colin Donnell who will co-star as Tandi’s husband Sean and Nick’s friend Arrow, Brian Tee, Nadine Velazquez, Monet Mazur, Lauryn Hardy, Alex Henderson and Iyanna Arrigo.
Luckett’s credits include a recurring role on HBO’s upcoming Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson series “Ballers,” VH1’s “Single Ladies” as well as HBO’s “Treme.” Until then, Luckett will continue to pursue a successful solo career with new solo LP titled Until Then, following the release of her new singles “I’m Ready” and “Don’t Make Me Wait” remix featuring T.I. due in the spring.
