Flying Lotus stuns with set on Coachella day one

The first day of Coachella Valley Music Festival served as a prelude to big things to come over the next two days in Indio, California.

But while AC/DC was the main attraction, Flying Lotus may have put together the most impressive performance of the evening with a set that was visually and sonically stunning.

The Los Angeles native, who is known as FlyLo, hit the Mojave stage shortly after 10 p.m. Wearing a mask and glow in the dark Aviator goggles, Flying Lotus made sure that his set would be memorable. He just doesn’t give a performance, he takes attendees on a journey.

Flying Lotus spins behind a giant cube that projects 3-D images before the crowd. Once the stage darkened, he announced to the crowd, “You’re Dead!”

For nearly an hour, Flying Lotus “killed” his set with a performance that was theatrical and awe-inspiring.
