Alani Nicole Anthony, aka La La, has nabbed a role on the A&E show “Unforgettable” as a series regular. The series, formerly on CBS, is produced by Sony TV and has a 13-week order for its fourth season.
Anthony, who multitasks as an actress, producer, fashion and cosmetics mogul, and is a best-selling author of The Love Playbook, will take on the role of Delina Michaels, an up-and-coming medical examiner successful in everything but love.
The 35-year-old first got her big break at the age of 15, at Atlanta’s Hot 97 station. Following a short internship (while still in high school), she nabbed her very own show, the wildly popular “Future Flavas,” alongside rapper-actor Ludacris. From there it was on to co-hosting on MTV, and securing her own reality show, “La La’s Full Court Wedding” on VH1.
Anthony’s other credits include Two Can Play That Game (2001), Think Like a Man (2014), Baggage Claim (2013), Urban Massacre (2002), Monster Island (2004), and You Got Served (2004).
