Michael Ealy will bring the drama as the new lead in season two of ABCs hit series “Secrets & Lies.” Coming off a villainous turn on Fox’s “The Following,” starring Kevin Bacon, Ealy has signed on to star opposite Juliette Lewis on the second season of the crime drama. Lewis, the only cast member from season one to return, will reprise her role as coolheaded detective Andrea Cornell, taking on a brand new case, this time surrounding Eric Warner (Ealy) and the investigation into his wife’s murder.
The heir apparent to his family’s private equity firm in Charlotte, NC and newly married to “the one,” Warner is at the top of his game. Sudden tragedy strikes, however, when his wife Kate is murdered while he attends a party to honor his father passing over the reins.
Ealy’s new role is a nice change of pace for fans who have grown accustomed to him playing the sweet, dough eyed, shirtless love interest.
On the feature side, Ealy, who co-stars in the Think Like A Man franchise, is set to star opposite Sanaa Lathan in the big screen thriller The Perfect Guy, which hits theaters in September.
