“Basketball Wives LA’s” Tami Roman made an exciting announcement: she’s expecting! On Monday, the 45-year-old revealed that she is six weeks pregnant during an appearance on “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta After Party Live.”
This marks the reality star’s first child with boyfriend Reggie Youngblood, who is 17 years her junior. “I feel this is the perfect place to let everybody know that I am granting wishes,” she said before the big reveal. “I am six weeks pregnant.” This will be Roman’s third child.
Fans of the reality star were somewhat shocked by the baby announcement, largely due to the fact that Roman has been very vocal on “Basketball Wives” about not wanting to have more children. It was a decision that even caused a rift in her relationship with Youngblood.
As you may know, Roman and Youngblood have been mending their relationship wounds on this season of “Marriage Bootcamp: Reality Stars.” In fact, Roman and Youngblood came to a crossroads when she realized that not having a child with Youngblood would be the end of their relationship. Apparently, she decided to make one heck of a compromise — all in the name of love.
Roman has two daughters — Lyric and Jazz — with her former husband, NBA star Kenny Anderson.
After the announcement, the expectant tweeted a special message to her fans. “Thanks for the well wishes everyone, it’s been hard keeping it a secret, but we are thankful for all the love. Now the journey begins!”
Congratulations, Tami!
