This may be the perfect home for Kelly Rowland.
The 34-year-old singer is reportedly in line for a guest spot in the hit FOX musical drama, as Lucious Lyon’s (Terrence Howard) mother… in the past.
During season 1, “Empire” often featured scenes from Lyon’s past, which showed his feisty now-ex-wife Cookie, played by Taraji P. Henson. Now, it appears that we will catch a glimpse of the original Lyon, Lucious’ mom, during harder times and long before he built a powerful music empire.
Rowland first sparked speculation that she may make an appearance on the show when she shared the above image via Instagram, joined by “Empire” screenwriters.
The show’s second season is set to debut on Sept. 23 and will be bigger than ever, featuring high-profile stars like Chris Rock, Lenny Kravitz, Alicia Keys and Marisa Tomei, who will play a demanding venture capitalist. Also signing on as Cookie’s new love interest is Magic Mike XXL actor Adam Rodriguez.
