Miller Lite’s Tap The Future event made its way to Atlanta. Held at Opera nightclub, the event was hosted by Kenny Burns, several entrepreneurs got the opportunity to pitch their business start-up ideas to Daymond John of ABC’s “Shark Tank” and three other executive judges.

The contestants were judged on their mission statement, branding strategies, financial organization, and their longterm goals for the company.

Five businesses were allowed to pitch for a chance to win $20,000. Although the competition was stiff, Mother Earth Produce walked away with the top prize. The company was founded in 2012 and collaborates with farmers who deliver organic produce to homes.

Mother Earth Produce will now be a finalist in the national competition and will compete for a chance to win the grand prize for $200,000.

The national finals will take place in September.
