While it’s true that Taylor Swift has inspired #squadgoals around the social-sphere, when it comes to fellow pop star Rihanna, the singer says unlike Swift, she’s not a role model and won’t be joining Swift’s group of gal pals now… or ever…

Avril Lavigne, Wiz Khalifa, The Weeknd and many others have wowed the crowd with Swift during her “1989” tour but according to RiRi, she’s good going at it solo. In a new cover story for British magazine NME, the 27-year-old says she doesn’t think she has the musical chemistry to perform alongside the “Wildest Dreams” vocalist: “I don’t think I would. I just don’t think it makes sense.”

There’s no bad blood between the two but she continued, “I don’t think our brands are the same; I don’t think they match. I don’t think our audiences are the same. In my mind she’s a role model, I’m not.” Still, the “Diamonds” singer is currently staying busy by working on her eighth album “R8,” which she’s promises will be something “great.”

“It’s not done!” she tells the mag, out Friday. “To me it’s never done until it’s done. Until the final moment.”

But Rihanna knows her fans are more than ready. “No matter what I post online, within three comments there’s somebody saying, ‘Where is R8?’ I could post anything. Nothing else matters,” she explains. “They don’t care about anything but that. But it makes me excited, because I can’t wait to give them something great.”
