It’s been somewhat of a rough 2015 for Young Money rapper Tyga.
Between a sex scandal with a transgender model, a few business deals going awry, and catching flack for his all but admitted relationship with a then underaged Kylie Jenner, the rapper born Michael Ray Nguyen-Stevenson is probably looking forward to the new year more than most. Especially with the news that his home state of California is looking to collect thousands from him.
According to TMZ, Tyga was recently hit with a tax lien for unpaid taxes from 2009, 2010, and 2011 totaling nearly $20K.
This tax tango is not something the “Hookah” rapper isn’t accustomed to dealing with. It was just last year that Uncle Sam came for the 25-year-old rapper for unpaid taxes to the tune of just over $91K.
Unfortunately for Tyga, the $20K tax lien may be the least of his latest crop of money issues. Last month, a judge ruled in favor of the owner of a home that Tyga had been renting by ordering the rapper to pay $70K in back rent after supposedly not paying the rent for two months. He’s also facing a $100K lawsuit for violating the terms of a contract he signed with a Las Vegas nightclub promoter.
