The fact that Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom had their attorneys withdraw pending divorce papers does not even surprise me. I don’t know why this is being reported as news. All doubts as to where Khloe’s allegiance stands when it comes to her ex-husband Lamar should have been clear to the entire world. Khloe still loves Lamar with all her heart. This was clear when Khloe immediately high-tailed it to Nevada to be by Lamar’s side and hasn’t left.
The reports saying that even though Khloe was with Lamar in his time of need, she’s still dating James Harden seemed kind of crazy. I mean, like really? Was James calling her to get updates on Lamar’s condition and calling Khloe to see what time she was coming through? Yeah right. We doubt that was the case very much. James is an active NBA player getting ready for the season and from what I hear he is in demand with the ladies. I’m sure he already knew that marriage license was going to triumph his newly short lived Kardashian romance.
But it’s official. US Weekly confirmed the family lawyer Laura Wasser went before a judge Wednesday morning and had the withdrawn papers signed by both Khloe and Lamar. So, for now, there isn’t a pending divorce.
Khloe made a statement on her website:
“The past week has been incredibly difficult,” Khloe wrote on her website. “I am so thankful to family, friends, and fans, who have sent nothing but prayers and well wishes to Lamar. I also want to take a moment to thank everyone at Sunrise Hospital, including the amazing doctors and nurses for their kindness and diligent work. Under their amazing care, incredible strides have been made. You can never be prepared for an experience like this, but without the outpouring of love and endless prayers that Lamar has received and the strength I was given from my loved ones, it would have been difficult to endure. Thank you for your continued support. God is great!!!”
Remember the beginning when the Kardashians seemed to embrace Lamar? I mean, why wouldn’t they? Lamar was a forward for the Los Angeles Lakers. Kris Jenner was always sitting court side with Bruce, Khloe and Kim. Wasn’t Rob like one of Lamar’s best friends? I think he is the only one who hasn’t surfaced since the brothel tragedy.
The relationship between Khloe and Lamar started on a downward spiral in 2013, when Odom was arrested on misdemeanor charges of DUI and he refused to take a chemical sobriety test. Afterwards, he checked into rehab for like a day or two and then checked himself out. It’s been all downhill from there, but hopefully that’s all in the past now. The divorce is on hold, Lamar is back in LA in therapy, and Khloe is right by his side.
