They say there’s nothing like a near-death experience to change your perspective and Khloe Kardashian, and Lamar Odom learned that hard lesson this past week when their lives were turned upside down after Odom nearly died after a reported traumatizing drug overdose at a Nevada brothel. Although the estranged couple split up two years ago, Kardashian rushed to Odom’s side and has been there ever since, watching and praying for his recovery. This week they decided to put a halt to their divorce and give their marriage another chance. It’s a shocker that most fans of the pair never saw coming, but it’s one that Kardashian’s mom, Kris Jenner, is reportedly ecstatic about.
When the announcement was made earlier this week that Odom and Kardashian were stopping their divorce, Jenner reportedly told “Access Hollywood” that she and the rest of the family had “Nothing but love” for the decision.
According to HollywoodLife.com though, it seems like Jenner may also have plans in store for the reunited couple.
“This is a dream come true for Kris Jenner and she has already talked to Khloe and Lamar, that they should have another wedding and renew their vows — for the television cameras,” a reported insider told the site.
However, another source says that it will be a long road back to happy for Odom and Kardashian because they have a lot of work to do to repair their broken marriage.
“Yes, [Khloe] still loves Lamar but it’s way too soon to think about them trying to be a loving married couple again. He would have to prove himself again and again for her to even trust him a little,” a source said. “Lamar is following his heart and hopes and prays Khloe will give him another chance. He’s feeding off her strength right now and desperately wants her there by his side during rehabilitation.”
We’re not so sold on the idea that Jenner is already planning to help Odom and Kardashian renew their vows, but we do agree that after all the couple has been through, Odom would have to earn his way back into a happy marriage with Kardashian. Only time will tell if Odom will make the necessary changes in his life and if these two can really work things out, but it would certainly make for good reality TV if they did.
