Samantha Moxey, owner of Decatur’s ATL Beauty Bar, was honored with a candlelight vigil on Saturday, November 8, 2015. The young entrepreneur was remembered during an official memorial given by her parents and family.
Fans, followers and friends on social media left glowing comments about Moxey whom they affectionately called a Bahamian princess. The Bahamas Consulate General also offered their condolences in a post on Facebook writing,
“Samantha Moxey, a wonderful young Bahamian entrepreneur who lived in the city of Atlanta and passed away recently. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of grief.”
Atlanta reality TV star Shekinah Anderson posted on Instagram: #ripsam my prayers go out to Samantha family! @atlbeautybar you will be missed friend!!!!! Her mother is one of the strongest woman ever, & if I see SAM before you do I will tell her you looking for her.
Moxey was 32. According to various people in Moxey’s circle, she slipped in her shower, was knocked unconscious and drowned.
